2024 Golden Gala

This year’s annual Golden Gala commemorating the 30th year when the association’s management transferred from the developer to the El Dorado homeowners was a great success.

Many thanks to the Executive Director and his staff for working together to make sure the evening was special for all our residents. A lot of coordination goes into this event, from the

extravagant dinner where each plating was perfectly orchestrated, down to the strategic placement of decorations, this recent Gala will be an evening to be remembered. Over 140 residents attended the evening’s festivities, taking part in the cocktail hour, pictures, and the exquisite dinner, along with dancing the night away to the sounds of Jack and BJ Strucel.

Thank you to all our residents who took part in this memorable event, we look forward to celebrating more Golden Galas with all of you.

 

We have a new performer, Doil Smith

We have a new performer this month, Doil Smith.
Doil is a singer/guitar player with 58 years experience performing before live audiences. He started playing professionally at the age of 17 with a four-piece band that performed in nightclubs and concert halls in and around Flint, Michigan for 30 plus years.
This event will be in the auditorium.

End of Summer Picnic

Tuesday, August 27th from 12:00 to 2:00pm– Get silly and put on your summer fun attire to join us in the auditorium to celebrate the end of summer.

For our summer themed picnic, we will be serving hot dogs, chips, cookies and cooling refreshments- iced tea & lemonade.

Be ready to strike a pose, “Best Dressed” wins a prize!

Pride of Ownership: El Dorado of Sun City Condominium Association

El Dorado of Sun City was built in the late 1980’s in two phases. The first residents moved into the “B” and “C” buildings in December 1986. The 2nd phase, the ” A ” building, was completed in 1990. There are 219 condominium homes currently in El Dorado.

El Dorado has an elected 7-member Board of Directors comprised of residents who bring experience, enthusiasm, creativity and loyalty to the governing of our community.
The Executive Director, Lance Miyatovich and a staff of 80+ employees, directly serve the residents and the Board of Directors.

Several Committees, made up of residents and staff, meet monthly to ensure continued communication and representation. These committees contribute ideas, concerns, and solutions to the Board of Directors, so there is an open and immediate avenue to constantly improve and fine-tune our services, programs and amenities.

El Dorado is owned by the homeowners of El Dorado. There is no corporate pressure to make a profit, since the condominium association is nonprofit. The ownership of El Dorado changes ONLY when an individual unit is resold and one deed and 1/249th interest is passed from one homeowner to another. This ensures that El Dorado’s organization should always reflect ONLY the residents’ interests, not the interest of an outside entity.

The El Dorado Condominium Homeowners Association has received prestigious awards for being the “Best Community Association” in Central Arizona and has been
consistently voted one of the “top Ten Retirement Communities in Arizona” each year by Arizona Business magazine. It is a member of the Community Association Institute, Arizona Small Business Association, Northwest Community Council, and is a contributor to the Ambassadors Clubs of both Sun City and Sun City west — both committed to promoting interest in the Sun Cities lifestyle.

What is El Dorado of Sun City Condominiums?

El Dorado of Sun City is a true condominium retirement community. Unlike any other resort-style retirement community in Arizona, our residents OWN all 7 1/2 acres of this beautiful lakefront community. When you purchase a condominium home at El Dorado, you obtain a:

  • Fee Simple Deed Plus
  • An undivided 1/249th interest in the “common area”

A fee simple deed entitles you the flexibility to sell or lease your condominium at any time, for any reason. Unlike life care or rental communities, NO developer or
management company is involved, so the entire amount of the sale price or lease amount goes back to you or your estate.*

“Common areas” are those areas used by all residents, such as the main activities building, gardens and courtyards, swimming pool, parking lots, etc.

Because our homeowners automatically become members of the nonprofit El Dorado Homeowners Association, they are entitled to all of the benefits of our
excellent services and amenities, such as elegant dining, weekly housekeeping, chauffeured transportation and much more. These services will be described in
more detail throughout this brochure.
